NMQHA is back to hosting the 2026 Land of Enchantment show at EXPO New Mexico. Join us on March 21-22, 2026 for a double-judged AQHA show with ranch, all-around, and all-breed classes. Judges will be Curtis Reynolds and John Briggs. This show is family-friendly and for exhibitors of all ages. Enjoy cool awards, random cash prizes, and free lunch for exhibitors sponsored by Dion’s and the Range Cafe.

NMQHA’s fourth annual Buckle Series of three All-Breed Fun Shows will be May 10, June 21, and November 22, 2026 at the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Posse Arena. Exhibitors who join NMQHA as members and participate in at least two of the three fun shows are eligible for buckles and other awards.

The 2026 New Mexico State Fair will be September 10-20, 2026 at EXPO New Mexico in Albuquerque. State Fair is a multi-breed show with options for all different breeds and disciplines throughout the week.
The horse show schedule has not been announced yet. We will provide additional details as they become available.
In order to qualify for year-end awards, NMQHA members must show to a minimum of 3 judges across the 2026 show year and participate in at least 2 classes within each division showed. For example, an exhibitor showing in Level 1 Youth must show in at least 2 Level 1 Youth classes to qualify. Membership forms and sponsorship forms can be found on the ABOUT page. Shows and judges counted this year are listed below.

NEW IN 2026! NMQHA is proud to recognize exhibitors who participate in the AQHA-approved Western Dressage program. In order to qualify, Western Dressage exhibitors must be members of NMQHA and pay a $30 nomination fee. Awards will be recognized in the following divisions if there are qualifying winners.
